EVENTS: Exclusive Charity Polo Day at Ham

Quintessentially is delighted to announce that we have secured access for our members to one of the most exclusive charity polo days organised by The Polo Agency with principle sponsor Fiat.
On Saturday 6th September at the Ham Polo Club you’ll be able to enjoy all of the top class chukka action, organised by leading international player Henry Brett, with wonderful food and sumptuous drinks provided all afternoon. You’ll be entertained by flamenco guitarist Jackson Scott and later hear from DJ Dan Williams. Then, when the day’s events are over, top London nightclub Raffles will be taking over the Ham Club to throw a glamorous after party - one to which you will have fantastic access.
On top of all of this, key sponsor Fiat is offering up a brand new Fiat 500, exclusively designed by Tracey Emin, for a charity auction. Tracey created four unique designs around the Fiat 500, each one being specially reproduced on four separate cars. The resulting masterpieces, which are destined to become collectors’ items, were all made available to raise money to help fund a school library in Uganda that Tracey is supporting through P.E.A.S. Two of the cars have been already auctioned with the last one being sold for GBP 200,000 at the ARK annual charity dinner so this really is an opportunity not to be missed.
The day kicks off at 1.30pm and goes on until late. Tickets cost GBP 90 (+ VAT) for members and GBP 100 (+ VAT) for guests.
To book, please contact events@quintessentially.com.

WINE OF THE WEEK: 2005 Château de Valois, Pomerol
Quintessentially Wine is delighted to be able to offer this beautiful, Merlot-dominated Pomerol from the superb 2005 vintage. Considering some of the staggering prices that wines from 2005 are currently fetching, this wine represents fantastic value for money.
Delightfully rich, full-bodied and succulent, with lovely weight on the palate, this is not a power-packed Merlot fruit-bomb but a more restrained, classy and sophisticated claret that displays beautiful balance between fruit and tannins, and will reward those fortunate enough to get their hands on it.
There are only 10 cases available at a price of GBP 390.00 per case (GBP 32.50 per bottle).
Please contact Ian Richardson on +44 (0)20 7758 3361 or ian@quintessentiallywine.com if you wish to secure your case.

ART: Kilford - The Music Painter

Quintessentially Art is excited to be able to offer members a heads-up on one of Britain's hottest new art talents. Kilford - The Music Painter, has fused his two passions (art and music) with extraordinary results; channelling the energy of live music with his hand straight onto canvas, his painting starts at the sound of the first note and ends on the last chord - quite literally.
Painting alongside the live performances of such world renowned musicians as The Black Eyed Peas, Damon Albarn, Robert Plant and Paul Weller, Kilford says "When I feel the music I see colours, it's very simple." The concept of live music painting has inspired a wide range of unique art works to striking effect - you find yourself scanning the canvas for rhythms and lyrics, tunes and melodies. Kilford's vision has engineered a whole new genre of art that profoundly changes our way of seeing. His most recent series of work 'Now That's What I Call Music Sketching' comprises of just 14 individual sketches created to the rhythms of music pieces that have been of personal importance to the artist himself - the sketches include Amy Winehouse's 'Back to Black', Mark Ronson's 'Stop Me' and Coldplay's 'Lost'.
The sketches are available prior to the official release date later next month to give Quintessentially members the chance to stay a step ahead of the latest art phenomenon that is The Music Painter.
For more information on The Music Painter's new sketches or for special commissions of your favourite song, please contact art@quintessentially.com.
