On Sunday, March 28, Broadway singers Ann Harada, Christine Toy Johnson, Raymond J. Lee, Deborah Lew, Jose Llana and Ann Sanders perform in concert to benefit the documentary Transcending - The Wat Misaka Story, and celebrate the release of the DVD. The show is directed by Tony Award winner Michele Pawk, with musical direction by Marco Paguia, and features songs from the 1946-47 Broadway season, the year Wat Misaka came to play Madison Square Garden.  Misaka was the first Asian American and first non-white player in the NBA.
