The Vogue Festival 2013
After the massive success of 2012’s offering, The Vogue Festival is back for another two-day, fashion-filled glamour-charged extravaganza in partnership with technology company Vertu. From the 27th to the 28th of April, a melange of leading designers, photographers, celebrities, models and fashion editors descend on the Queen Elizabeth Hall to enthral and captivate audiences via a series of interviews, discussions and talks. So, if you’ve ever wondered just how the world’s leading fashion magazine is put together, put this one in your diary and expect to be courted by an array of celebs including Victoria Beckham, Alexa Chung, Cara Delevingne, Anya Hindmarch, Michael Kors, Tamara Mellon, Mario Testino and Donatella Versace.
In addition to the talks, there are also a host of other activities that will allow you to glam up and experience a taste of the world’s greatest fashion magazine. Cover-shoots, mentoring, workshops, demonstrations and makeovers are all on offer; Dior are there to help you find the perfect shade of lipstick for Spring, or you might ask Yves Saint Laurent for this season’s version of the smoky eye. Once you’ve perfected your make up, head over to the Vogue Braid Bar and let some of Vogue’s best hairstylists make your hair runway-ready.
Along with insane snapping sessions as fashion luminaries take the stage (seating arrangements on stage have to take into account ‘best sides’ for this very reason), highlights of The Vogue Festival 2013 also include discussions from legendary photographer Mario Testino, foremost designer Donatella Versace, fashion icon Victoria Beckham and a behind-the-scenes look into a Vogue fashion shoot.
