restaurateur, seems to have again succeeded in creating the next 'go-to' venue for dinner, drinks, and dancing. He's already attracting bright and beautiful regulars who come to enjoy the spectacular interiors and sophisticated vibe of sister restaurant, Casa Cruz.
The menu presents a selection of Mediterranean and Argentinian-inspired dishes bursting with clean, fresh flavours, which adroitly complement the rich, smoky meat that Cruz is so famous for. Our visit started at the bar with some of the best cocktails we have tried in a while: a classic margarita and a rum old fashioned, paired with some very pretty crudités served over ice, and a sizeable portion of padrón peppers. Settling at our table, we asked for recommendations, the best of which was the Grilled Pluma Ibérico, a succulent, tender, melting cut. The Beef Short Rib Ravioli with Black Truffle also deserves a shout-out, as did the Radicchio, Pear, Celery, Walnut and Gorgonzola 'ensalada'. Be sure not to overlook the sides, which include Spiced Corn, Chilli, & Basil, and perfect Roast Domino Sweet Potatoes, and an incredible Dulce de Leche Fondant with real 'Wow factor'. Breakfast was also notable on our second visit with the South American favourites, Arepas, providing a unique offering alongside the usual Eggs Benedict, which were done to perfection.
The elegant surroundings are extremely impressive; a mixture of Art Deco and Chinoiserie design with nautical-inspired fixtures providing the illusion of being on the deck of a luxury yacht. Sharply dressed staff sail past in custom-made Johanna Ortiz outfits, and a gleaming central bar showcases the vast selection of spirits, providing the perfect perch for people-watching. The beauty of the main restaurant is echoed throughout and, although not usually the subject of a feature, you cannot miss the restrooms… Adorned in hand-painted wallpaper, each is a unique tropical scene shimmering in the soft glow that allegedly enhances your skin tone - expect an abundance of bathroom selfies to hit your newsfeed in the coming months!

For a more casual dinner, sit up at the bar counter and people-watch – it's a veritable playground for Mayfair's elite! The bartenders will also be more than happy to suggest a tipple or two, and trust us, their cocktails are killer good.
