On Thursday 5th October 2017, this year's charity gala was hosted in one of the world's most iconic hotels, The Dorchester. This year, once again it was fabulous evening of entertainment, special guests and gourmet food. Guests heard about the charity's work with young people, and had the opportunity to take part in some fund-raising activities. The dress code was black tie and all tickets included a drinks reception, dinner, wine and soft drinks.

The Amy Winehouse Foundation works to prevent the effects of drug and alcohol misuse on young people. They also aim to support, inform and inspire vulnerable and disadvantaged young people to help them reach their full potential. They do this through a range of initiatives and programmes. They include: the Resilience Programme for Schools, a groundbreaking drug & alcohol awareness and prevention programme for secondary schools; Amy's Yard, an intensive music programme which supports the personal development of disadvantaged young people; Amy's Place, which helps women leaving treatment for addictions to reintegrate into society with the best possible opportunity of sustaining their recovery and building a fulfilling life. It also includes Music Therapy for Children, where those with life-limiting conditions are helped to address important developmental needs through music therapy.
