The Concept

Tokimeitē is a new high-end Japanese restaurant from the Zen-Noh Group opening on Conduit Street, Mayfair next week. Tokimeitē, is a colloquial expression in Japanese that translates into "butterflies" or sense of anticipation. With Chef Yoshihiro Murata overseeing the menu and designer Yasumichi Morita the interiors, Tokimeite is a must for lovers of modern Japanese cuisine.

The Space

Set over three floors, the 70-cover restaurant features an open kitchen, a Josper charcoal oven and a robata grill. Japanese festivals, shrines and temples have inspired the renowned Japanese designer Morita with the warm woods, brown and gold colours adding a further touch of luxury to complement the superb offerings of the menu.

The Cuisine

Holding a total of seven Michelin stars across his three restaurants in Kyoto and Tokyo, Chef Murata brings dishes that are based on modern, authentic Japanese cuisine to Tokimeitē, including dishes from the 'washoku' tradition that UNESCO recognises as part of the world's cultural heritage. Menu highlights include the wagyu (beef) tartare truffle maki and the lobster in white saikyo miso soup, which are served alongside cocktails, premium sakes, whiskies and shochu.

Insider Tip

A Chef's Table dining space will open soon after the launch, where up to eight people will enjoy a highly personal dining experience.
